I went back to my foot bridge and tried to make a nice sunset photo. There were a few high clouds to catch some pink-orange light from the sun. But the light didn’t last long. I tried to shoot at an angle that gives a view across the bridge down the path but still incorporated some sky through the trees. You will also have to forgive me for making a cell tower disappear.
HDR merge shot at 16mm focal length.
Also, I have a picture of one of my dogs that I like. She was sleeping with her head off of the bed and just a beam of morning sunlight cutting through the tree in the backyard and through the window. It made for some nice natural vignetting, though I added some of my own as well.
She does enjoy sleeping over in the corner by the window and she lets me know when a package arrives.

That looks like a very content dog. I’m familiar with package alarms. I set off many of them back in the day, when I was a letter carrier.

She was worn out. She only gets 22 hours of sleep per day, so it’s tough on her.

I don’t know, I’d be happy with a tight 8 hours. That’s a third of my life already.

As for me, I worked hard so I could retire and get lots of rest. But the older people get, the less sleep they need. So here I am retired, and I’m lucky if I can sleep in past 5:00 am.

Yes, fairies that play softball and baseball at the fields seemingly 24 hours per day. But I hope that won’t dissuade you from writing a story more interesting than that. Just no cows this time.

That dog generally spends all day sleeping next to my desk chair while I work. I think she sees me as protection from something as she is scared of every noise she hears.

Our Yorkie is scared of every noise too. Scared of noises but won’t think anything of barking at a dog that is 3x her size!

Grumpy old lady doggie. She does not appreciate noises in the house. I often get barked at for going to the laundry room.
