Just a bumble bee in a big yellow wildflower taken not far from my house. Taken just before sunset with the last of the golden hour light.
I don’t know what to call these, but they are growing everywhere right now.
I’m glad something is enjoying these >100F days we are having.
I think the flowers are a sunflower species. The hairy stems make me think it might be Helianthus annuus, or the common sunflower. It’s a nice shot. Sunflowers with bees are always good.

Many of us don’t. That’s why the category called “DYC” is so useful — if you don’t know, it stands for “darned yellow composite”!
